Getting Married

License Info.

MARRIAGE LICENSE FILING
To become legally married, you are required by law to obtain your marriage license from the State in which you are getting married prior to your ceremony. When this exciting time comes, we will guide you through this process. After the ceremony, your officiant will make sure that your witnesses sign the license and fill in their information correctly. Then your officiant will be responsible for submitting the license back to the government office for processing, so you can relax and enjoy your celebration. The last thing you want to do after your ceremony is worry about getting cake on your legal documents!

Rehearsals

REHEARSAL ATTENDANCE (INCLUDED WITH THE TOTAL PACKAGE)
The wedding rehearsal usually takes place at the venue on the day before the wedding. It is a time for the couple and the wedding party to practice for the big day (and socialize and get acquainted too!). It also provides a fun and casual atmosphere for you and the wedding party to connect with your officiant and iron out any wrinkles before show time!
Your officiant will attend and direct your wedding rehearsal, but will not attend the rehearsal dinner, which typically takes place immediately after the rehearsal. The average rehearsal time is 45 minutes if everyone is on time and focused.
During the rehearsal, the details of the ceremony will be reviewed and practiced, including the order of the processional and recessional (how everyone walks in and out), the handing off of the bride, the music cues, and where and how everyone will stand when they arrive up front. The transitions and cues for the various parts of the ceremony are also reviewed without going through the entire script word-for-word.
Some wedding coordinators play a larger role in the rehearsal than others. Regardless of whether or not you have a coordinator, your officiant is happy to either take the lead or just a supporting role to make sure that your wedding day goes off without a hitch (except for one!). Often times, a wedding coordinator looks to the officiant for guidance when it comes to certain details.
